From the moment I first connected with Megan and Zachary, I could tell their love story was going to be something special! They found me on Zola just five months before their August wedding day and I’m so grateful they did. From our very first conversation, their kindness, trust, and authenticity made working with them an absolute joy. Our real-touch flowers were the perfect choice for this summer wedding: lifelike, long-lasting, and customized to match their vision.
Northeast couple Megan and Zachary tied the knot in a joyful, heartfelt summer celebration that was every bit as fun-loving and genuine as they are. The day began with a sacred ceremony at St. Francis de Sales Church, followed by a lively cocktail hour and buffet reception at Ballyowen Golf Club, and an after party at Kites Restaurant Bar to keep the celebration going after-hours!

Their wedding palette was inspired by the brightness of the season with vibrant citrus tones paired beautifully with blue hydrangeas and textural blue thistle, a suggestion I made to naturally incorporate Megan’s request for blue without overwhelming the design. These vivid colors reflected their vibrant personalities and added a fresh, playful energy to the rustic setting.
Everything about their wedding felt intentional and true to who they are as a couple. Megan and Zachary’s love for family and community was present in every detail from the custom heart-shaped sunglasses worn by the wedding party to the wood-slice centerpieces lovingly handmade by Zachary’s mom. At the end of the night, one guest from each table was given a centerpiece to take home: an incredibly thoughtful gesture that their guests adored!

Megan looked stunning in not one but two white dresses: a sleek, floor-length gown with a train for the ceremony, and a shorter, more playful reception dress perfect for dancing the night away. The bridesmaids wore soft sky blue dresses, and the groomsmen complemented them in sky blue ties. Their customized sunglasses added such a fun twist and made for the best photos!

In addition to a traditional guestbook, Megan and Zachary also displayed a tree art canvas where guests wrote little messages on the leaves, creating a sentimental keepsake to display in their home as a reminder of their beautiful day.

Their naked cake, decorated with some of our florals and topped with a gold “Mr. & Mrs. Cody” script sign, was sweet, on-trend, and totally them.

One of the things I loved most about working with Megan and Zachary was their sense of adventure and authenticity. Before their wedding, they had their engagement session at the Roscoe O&W Railway Museum, capturing their love story among the vintage trains. It was such a unique, charming choice and a nod to their fun-loving nature.

When Megan reached out to me, she was looking for florals that were dependable, lasting, and looked just like the real thing. Our real-touch flowers offered the perfect solution. Her bridesmaids loved taking home their bouquets as a lasting memento, and the bud vase centerpieces received so many compliments. Their guests could hardly believe they weren’t fresh flowers!

Megan said it best herself:
“Everyone kept commenting on how amazing the flowers were and literally couldn’t believe they weren’t real! My bridesmaids also loved being able to take their bouquets home with them. They were so happy they could keep something special from the day.”

Helping bring their vision to life was such an honor and a reminder of why I love what I do. Megan and Zachary, thank you for letting me play a small part in your beautiful beginning!
